Congratulations to a Great Leader and a Great Nation on Our Centenary Anniversary

On behalf of the Government and good people of Bayelsa State, I wish to convey with profound joy our felicitations and deep appreciation to our leader and elder brother, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the very auspicious, historic

and landmark occasion of the Centenary celebration of the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorates of Nigeria.

We join other well meaning Nigerians, leaders of our great country at various levels and world leaders to celebrate Mr. President and Nigeria on a time like this as you lead the nation to mark a glorious centenary! To us as a Government and people of the home state of Mr. President, it is a thing of pride and indeed, most gratifying that, our dear leader has in the face of very unusual and unimaginable challenges steered the ship of the Nigerian State to attain the one
hundredth years mark! 

Mr. President, we wish to state that, no leader of our country in our100 years history has been so confronted with as much daunting challenges as you are faced with, but in all of this, you have demonstrated an unusual and uncommon calmness and focus that has kept the dreams and wishes of our founding fathers for a united and egalitarian Nigeria intact.

It is noteworthy that, against all odds even at this time when our nation’s long standing peace and unity have come under severe threat, you have remained focused, determined and committed to the Transformation Agenda of your administration and by so doing, raising the hope of millions of Nigerians in your quest to bequeath a better
country than you inherited to this and future generations.

As you lead Nigeria into a new century, we believe that, you will even Lay the greater foundation to a much more prosperous and egalitarian Nation with towering legacies that would herald the emergence of a new Nigeria of the dreams of generations past, present and the future.

We say congratulations and may the good Lord continue to guide you and grant you wisdom, courage and sound health, to deliver a nation, where Peace, Love, Unity and Harmony will continue to reign supreme.
