NEW YORK, NY–(Marketwired – May 28, 2014) – Connected Benefits (CB) launched its unique online benefits marketplace today in partnership with benefits technology platform Maxwell Health (Maxwell). CB is an online shopping experience that allows New Yorkers to purchase a lifestyle-based package of benefits including health plans, dental coverage from Renaissance Dental, a vision plan from VSP, and even more products and services that will be added over the next several weeks and months. CB will serve as the broker for those benefits, with Maxwell Health providing the technology platform to enroll members.
“If we’re going to re-invent how individuals are buying insurance, the main goal has to be simplicity and convenience. Maxwell Health’s technology helps make this a reality, so we are extremely excited for the launch of Connected Benefits in NY,” says Dan Gaydos, VP at CB.
CB’s lifestyle-based packaging system, powered by Maxwell, allows a consumer to get a quote instantly and easily choose between benefits packages tailored to their needs. Their goal is to remove all the unnecessary processes involved now that result in people not getting appropriate benefits for their lifestyle. This way, CB can ensure people save money and time by getting the right coverage.
CB utilizes Maxwell Health’s proprietary benefits enrollment technology in order to streamline the consumer shopping experience and provide access to a wide range of ancillary benefits. At launch, the marketplace includes products from carriers such as Guardian, Reliance Standard Life, Vision Service Plan, and Renaissance Dental. The packages also include a concierge service from Health Advocate that helps members navigate the health care system, a mobile app to access benefits info on the go, and curated health content from Greatist.com. In the coming months, CB will add several other products to the package to allow for even more customization and accessibility.
Maxwell’s aim is to transform health care in America with their operating system for benefits. The fully paperless, mobile-enabled technology platform simplifies the entire benefits process from enrollment, to signing forms, to helping people actually use their benefits and stay healthy. Maxwell works with benefits advisors who license their technology to service the individual market as well as employer clients.
Maxwell CEO and co-founder Veer Gidwaney said, “The partnership with Connected Benefits is an exciting one for Maxwell. Our technology is supporting a forward-thinking benefits advisor in their efforts to serve individuals who aren’t eligible for subsidies, but want a comprehensive benefits package that will keep their families safe and healthy.”
