The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has stressed the need for stakeholders in information management to ensure that accurate information is disseminated to the general public at all times.
Femi Adesina made the remark while speaking at a meeting with members of the Forum of Spokespersons of Security and Response Agencies (FOSSRA) and the Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) on Wednesday July 1, 2015 in Abuja, saying it is only with accurate information that the public would have a better understanding of the actions and policies of government.
He also welcomed the FOSSRA and CCC team, averring that the coming on board of their establishment is appropriate as they will help to build and foster the much needed synergy among critical stakeholders in security and crisis management. He assured them that the present administration will collaborate with the Centre to ensure that government activities concerning the pains of the victims of terrorism and insurgency are well disseminated.
In a related development, the Chairman of FOSSRA, Chris Olukolade (Major-General), who is also the Defence Spokesperson congratulated Femi Adesina and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Publicity, Garba Shehu (Mallam) on their appointment. He also briefed the Presidential Spokespersons on the activities of the Centre relating to Crisis Communication and FOSSRA.
