The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has said it received with shock, news of former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode’s acquittal on Wednesday by a Federal High Court in Lagos.
Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia while acquitting Mr. Fani-kayode of the two count charge of money laundering preferred against him by the EFCC, said the anti-graft agency failed to prove its “feeble case” against the ex-minister beyond reasonable doubt.
A statement by the Head, Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, said “The Commission is making effort to obtain a Certified True Copy of the ruling, to enable it respond appropriately after careful review of the judgment”.
