    Ekiti State Government has offered employment to the widow of the teacher, Mr Akinboye  killed by armed robbers on his way to work along Ikere-Ise road early this year.

    Presenting letter of employment to the widow, Mrs Grace Akinboye, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose noted that the State Government decided to give her a job to support the family left behind by the deceased.

    The governor who noted that it was pathetic that the man was murdered in cold blood, said he decided to intervene following a letter written by the Academic Union of Secondary Schools (ASUS), saying it was necessary the wife was giving an enduring support in form of pensionable job.

    He advised the widow to take heart and get herself together in order to be in the right frame of mind to take care of her children.

    Mrs Akinboye appreciated the governor for the gesture, promising to discharge her duties with diligence.

    The State Chairman of ASUS, Mr Sola Adigun lauded the State Government for the quick response to the letter written by the Union, noting that the action was unprecedented as the employment letter was ready in the space of two months.
