The Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi ll revealed to religious leaders that he had once used his personal income to renovate a church that got ruined during the religious clash at Rogo local government area in Kano.
His Royal Highness, Muhammad Sanusi II, while giving a speech at the one-day Inter-Religious and Community Conference addressed the issue of religious disharmony.
Emphasising on the issue of religion crisis which Nigerian as a country is presently facing, Sanusi II, said
“I renovated the said church to help avoid a situation where a Christian believer might feel offended and his religion disrespected”.
The event was held at the coronation Hall, Government House, Kano State, yesterday (25 December), themed “Towards Strengthening Interfaith and Community Relations for Harmony, Peace and Sustainable Development”
Among the guest at the conference meeting, which was hosted by the Kano State governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and mostly attended by clerics of both Islam and Christianity includes Kano CAN chairman, Ransome Bello.
