Ex-militants in the Niger Delta under the Second Phase Amnesty wants Seriake Dickson to continue being Bayelsa State governor and they are showing commitment to this by giving up their 3 months salary.
A sum of N10.5 million had since been raised for the purchase of expression of interest form for a second term in office during the 2016 governorship poll in the state.
The ex-militants drawn from the eight local governments are ready to forego their monthly allowances to also raise campaign posters for President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of the 2015 presidential election.
The ex-militants led by Chairman, Mr Stephen Ebisintei said the decision of the militants was aimed towards the Presidential campaign of President Jonathan in 2015 and Governor Dickson’ re-election bid.
