A Federal High Court sitting in Abakaliki on Monday nullified all congresses conducted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State, declaring them unconstitutional.
The ruling impacts the PDP’s ward, local government, and state congresses, effectively voiding the outcomes of each level.
The decision was issued in the suit numbered FHC/AI/CS/183/2024, filed by Hon. Nnenna Lynda Udeh and 12 others against the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In addition, the court restrained INEC, listed as the 2nd defendant in the case, from recognizing any officers purportedly elected during the nullified congresses for any official purposes.
