    Fela’s Marriage Proposal Was An Appreciation For My Support When He Was Jailed – Onyeka Onwenu

    Popular singer, Onyeka Onwenu has come out to talk about her life, marriage, children, and suffering depression. She recently revealed this during an interview with Chude Jidonwo, and Nigerians have been reacting.

    According to her, the reports saying she married Obasanjo were super weird because if anything like that happened, they would’ve made things public.

    Onyeka added that Fela’s marriage proposal was simply his way of thanking her for supporting him when he was in jail.

    Her words, “Yes. They even said Obasanjo married me. Ahn ahn, what is this? If he’s going to marry me, then we’ll make it public.”

    “Fela is a trickster. He knew I’d say no,”

    “I think it was his way of thanking me for coming out in support of him when he was jailed.”

    On marrying the father of her sons, “The marriage was incredible, but sometimes, when things happen to people, they change. My husband, I pray for him on a daily basis…”
