Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has cautioned his appointees against engaging in premature campaigns for the 2027 elections, emphasizing the need to focus on delivering the expectations of their current offices.
Fintiri issued the warning during the 2024 end-of-year stakeholders’ meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), held at the Government House in Yola on Tuesday.
He stressed that his administration’s priority is service to the people rather than advancing individual political ambitions.

“It is still time to focus on governance and delivery of services and projects rather than politicking,” Fintiri stated.
He added that appointees prioritizing political popularity over their official responsibilities should either resign or risk dismissal.
The governor reiterated his commitment to serving the people of Adamawa State, saying, “My agenda for 2025 and beyond remains service to the people. I am here to cater to the needs of all, not just a select few.”
The stakeholders’ meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta, the three senators representing Adamawa State, the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, all PDP members of the state assembly, and the state executive cabinet commissioners.
Fintiri’s stance underscores his focus on governance and ensuring his administration’s success in delivering impactful projects and services to the people of Adamawa State.
