The Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has come out to say that flood has killed 16 persons, destroyed 3,042 houses, and several farmlands in the state.
The Permanent Secretary (PS) of SEMA, Alhaji Shehu Ningi revealed this on Friday in Bauchi.
According to him, the affected local government areas include Shira, Dambam, Katagum, Jammare, Warji, Itas, Alkaleri, Bauchi, Zaki Kirfi, and Gamawa.
He added that the affected victims have been temporarily relocated to various schools, mosques, and relatives’ houses till a permanent solution is found.
