The pioneer Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) and former Minister of Education Dr. Olaiya Oni is dead.
Oni, a former Head of Service (HoS) has been experiencing some health challenges since 2012, which was one of the reasons he relocated from Akure to his home town, Ise-Akoko in Akoko North East local government area of the state, reports Vanguard, citing family sources.
However, Oni’s health degenerated three days ago and he was rushed from his Ise-Akoko home to an undisclosed hospital in Owo before he gave up the ghost.
