Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Fred’s confidence has been boosted after his recent brilliant display in the 3-1 victory vs Brighton at Old Trafford on Sunday.
After the game, Ole praised Fred by saying he got his new confidence from playing more games.
He added that Fred still has some improving to do but he has been excellent thus far.
His words, “You get confidence from playing games,”
“He has not really had a run of games and I think he set us up with his midfield play.
“He won the ball. We had to get after them because, with Propper and [Dale] Stephens in midfield, we couldn’t let them get on the ball and I thought Fred was maybe the catalyst.
“Maybe there were a couple of fouls he shouldn’t have made in the first half to give them chances because that was one of the big opportunities they had, from set-plays.
“But, otherwise, he was excellent.”
Man Utd will face Sheffield United on November 24 before an UEL game vs Astana four days later.
