Gov. Nasiru El-Rufai has been announced as the winner of the Kaduna State governorship election.
He sealed his second term in office after the announcement of result today from the State Returning Officer, Prof. Muhammed Yahuza Bello, who revealed that El-Rufai polled 1,045,427 votes to emerge victorious in the polls.
Alhaji Isah Ashiru, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was second with 814,168 votes
Yahuza said, “Malam Nasiru El-Rufai having fulfilled all the requirements of the law, and scored the highest votes is hereby declared winner of the Kaduna State governorship election,”
APC won in Ikara, Kubau, Makarfi, Kudan , Giwa, Kauru and Soba local government areas.
And also in Lere, Birnin Gwari, Kaduna North and Sabon Gari, Igabi, Kaduna South, Zaria LGs.
