In the midst of a protracted dispute with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has expressed his willingness to embrace peace.
The governor, alongside other key stakeholders, recently entered into an eight-point agreement in Abuja on Monday, aiming to resolve the political crisis gripping the state.
This agreement followed a meeting at the State House facilitated by President Bola Tinubu, where Wike, Fubara, and other stakeholders deliberated on the issues at hand.

Addressing the public on Tuesday at the 3rd Convocation and 6th Founders Day ceremonies of the PAMO University of Medical Sciences in Iriebe Town, Governor Fubara voiced his readiness to make sacrifices for the sake of peace.
He emphasized his administration’s dedication to fostering peace and development in Rivers State, stating, “There is no price that will be too big to pay to ensure that peace prevails.”
Governor Fubara also reassured the people of Rivers State of his government’s commitment to providing quality education and healthcare services.
He acknowledged the progress made in these areas while highlighting the need for further improvements to achieve universal access to education and healthcare.
He concluded by underlining the importance of education and health in societal progress, emphasizing that a well-educated and healthy populace is essential for the advancement of any society.
