Borussia Dortmund player, Mario Gotze has played down news linking him to a move to Arsenal, as he readies himself to pen a new deal at Dortmund.
Gotze was set for fame and stardom at just 22 when he netted the winning goal to win Germany the World Cup vs Argentina but since that goal, he has battled to meet expectations, fumbling a 3-year stay at Bayern Munich and rejoining his boyhood club.
Now on the Arsenal links, Gotze said to Goal, “I always hear these rumours, they come up every year,”
“Everyone has their value and the club has to decide who fits where”.
“I have a year on my contract and I am comfortable in the Bundesliga,”
“I am very relaxed, I wanted to play a reasonable season, contributing with my performances and focusing on myself was important for me.”
