We just read another spook by Ejike James Agbo, a hireling, whose stock in trade is to pull down Governor David Umahi and his government.
In the spook titled, “Fraud has been officially unveil(sic) as the official name of Ebonyi State’s Present Leaders,” he alleges an imaginary scam and calls on the ant-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to take note.
Wao/ Ejike is definitely a Whacko. Here is a man whose English and sense of reasoning defy all logic. No wonder he lost his job in his former place of work and suddenly became an unprepared social crusader and political jobber.
In the Friday post on his wall, he alleges the existence of Ebonyi State Founding Fathers Forum and how Governor David Umahi has moved to amend a (non-existent) law on the payment of allowances to the members.
Ejike and his followers need to know that no law was ever passed by the Ebonyi State House of Assembly making it mandatory for payment of allowances to the forum members.
Ejike must know that what he calls a law is a resolution by the Assembly that certain sums of money be paid to the members of the forum. The Assembly took the action after receiving a letter from former Governor Martin Elechi that the so-called founding fathers be paid some stipends on monthly basis. A resolution is not a law and can never be a law. If he has one, he should make a copy available through his Facebook account.
Let Ejike and his paymasters know also that the forum was only the ex-governor’s avenue to help a selected group of people.
However, even during his time as the governor, many people questioned the rationale and the composition of the body as they were many other people that fought for the creation of Ebonyi State that were not made members of the body nor benefit from the monthly.
Governor Umahi had on assumption of office told members of the forum during a meeting he had with them that he wasn’t going to work with them as a body but can relate with them on individual basis. He also told them that when they were needed to play the role of fathers, they did not.
Since the body does not enjoy legal backing, it is therefore not binding on successive governments of the state.
