Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has come out to break his silence on Mykhailo Mudryk after the forward’s positive drugs test. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the entire club is very upset at the doping news, but they will do everything possible to support the player during his trying time.

Enzo added that he believes Mudryk will return to football eventually, but he cannot say when at the moment.
His words, “We are all upset, sad and we are there to support Mykhailo. I spoke with him days ago. At the moment he can’t train. We are waiting but as I say, the club are there ready to support the player with all the aspects he needs. It’s not the first time that something like this has happened. It has already happened in the past. I think they know exactly what they have to do and this is the reason that we trust and support Mykhailo.
First of all, these kind of things not only happen to young players but players with experience. It is my duty since we started that I try and have a relationship with players quite close because I like it that way. With Mudryk it is exactly the same and I am here to help him in anything he needs. At this moment it is normal that he is going to need help from the club, from me and from his teammates and we are all there trying to support him.
I think he will come back. The only thing is we don’t know when, that’s the only doubt we have at the moment. For sure he is going to come back.”
WOW.
Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, they play their home games at Stamford Bridge.
The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They won their first major honour, the League championship, in 1955. The club won the FA Cup for the first time in 1970, their first European honour, the Cup Winners’ Cup, in 1971, and became the third English club to win the Club World Cup in 2022.
On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
