The Kano State Police Command has deployed 250 specially trained officers to border local government areas to strengthen security and prevent criminal activities.
The officers were deployed as part of efforts to enhance security surveillance and respond to emerging threats in communities located along the state’s borders.
The command said the personnel had received specialised training to enable them to effectively tackle security challenges and protect residents.
The deployment is also expected to improve police presence in border communities and enhance collaboration with other security agencies.
The police urged residents to cooperate with the newly deployed officers by providing useful information that could assist in preventing crime.
The command assured residents that it would continue to adopt proactive measures to protect lives and property across the state.
The deployment comes amid ongoing efforts by security agencies to strengthen border security and address criminal activities in parts of northern Nigeria.
