According to him, he feels really pained after the abuses and errors that occurred in different places during the time of his mandate, and he expects God to judge him for his actions.

Pope then expressed his shame and sorrow to all the victims of sexual abuse, adding that he hopes they’ll forgive people.

Her words, “I have had great responsibilities in the Catholic Church. All the greater is my pain for the abuses and the errors that occurred in those different places during the time of my mandate.”
