Former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko has said that he left N20 billion in the state’s coffers.
Mimiko made the comment in denial of a claim by the All Progressives Congress (APC) that he left a N150 billion debt profile for the state.
The denial was made on Mimiko’s behalf by former Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade.
Akinmade also said that the APC’s allegation “is a lie from the pit of hell.”
He said further that the domestic debts incurred by the last administration amounted to N53 billion with salary arrears of about N20 billion.
Mimiko handed over to the APC’s Rotimi Akeredolu on February 24.
