Reba McEntire has admitted to feeling bad after turning down an iconic role in hit movie, Titanic.
It was recently revealed on TV show, “Watch What Happens Live” that the country-music star was actually forced to reject the role of Molly Brown in the beautiful film.
Her words, “We were on tour and I had a lot of people on the pay roll,”
“And we had these three months already scheduled to do the movie and then they got behind on scheduling and said, ‘No we’re going to have to move it in this time.”
The role was eventually lost to Kathy Bates.
“We couldn’t reschedule all the arenas and everything,” Reba said.
If only she knew that the 1997 blockbuster would become one of the most memorable projects in Hollywood history — earning 11 Oscars and three Golden Globes — grossing more than $2 billion worldwide.
