Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has expressed confidence that he will triumph in the ongoing political tussle with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Fubara made this declaration during the Christmas Ballad event hosted by former Governor Peter Odili in Port Harcourt.
In a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara attributed his confidence to the unwavering support of the people of Rivers State.

“And not just because I want to accept it, I get stronger in this course every day when I look at the support I am getting from the true Rivers people,” the governor said.
Fubara noted that his strength comes from the encouragement and efforts of the people, who have stood by him throughout his political journey. He vowed to stand firm for those who have supported him.
“You gave me encouragement; you did the work for me; you made the calls for me. So, why won’t I stand up for you?” he added.
The governor also underscored his reliance on divine intervention, describing God as the ultimate “game changer” and “liberator.”
“And because we have Him on our side, victory is assured,” Fubara affirmed, expressing confidence in a favorable outcome in the ongoing political battle.
