Yemi Osinbajo has said that the Muhammadu Buhari administration is not considering a replacement for the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.
“Magu is going nowhere,” Osinbajo announced. “Seriously, what offence has this man committed?” the Vice President questioned.
“I have known him personally right from the time of the very first chairman of the commission till now, he is a very dedicated, trustworthy gentleman. Don’t forget he is also the most senior official of the EFCC,” he added.
The Nigerian Senate had twice denied Magu’s confirmation as the EFCC boss owning to a damning letter by the Department of State Services (DSS).
