Jesse Lingard has said he was “disappointed” to only get a point against Burnley on Boxing Day despite his two goals salvaging a 2-2 draw.
“It’s disappointing, obviously we created a lot of chances, we should have won the game,” he said. “We dominated the game so we’re disappointed.
As for his own performance, Lingard added: “I’m on form at the moment, it’s great being in the team and helping the team get goals.”
United only have four days before their next game against Southampton, and then travel to Everton two days later, but Lingard wasn’t worried about the crowded holiday schedule.
“We enjoy playing matches, that’s why we play football,” he said. “The more games the better, we can rotate the squad if needs be.”
