The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it may not be able to deliver a 100 per cent perfect election at this time.
Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Joash Amupitan, stated this on Sunday during a Citizens’ Town Hall Meeting on the Electoral Act held in Abuja.
Amupitan noted that while Nigerians desire flawless elections, the Commission would continue striving to improve the electoral process.

“Let me just appeal to Nigerians because I have noticed now that what Nigerians desire is a perfect election. INEC will strive as much as possible to give this country the best election; however, we may not be able to achieve a 100 per cent perfect election for now,” he said.
The INEC chairman also addressed concerns about the transmission of election results, stating that he does not consider transmission a major challenge.
According to him, the issue is not the availability of network services but the adequacy and coverage of telecommunications infrastructure across the country.
