The Peoples Coalition Party has criticised the results of the presidential election, which pronounced Atiku Ababakar the winner and President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner.
PDP called the result unacceptable as it was not the way Nigerians voted.
National Chairman, PCP, Chief Don Anthony Harmattan, praised the citizens for voting for their own Presidental candidate, Dr. Felix Nicholas, and ensuring his party was the third major political party according to results of the Presidential election.
His words, “The result declaring President Buhari winner of this election is a misrepresentation of the expressions of Nigerians who voted, queuing up in the sun to cast their votes in search of better governance in our democracy.
“In fact, INEC result was a shocker to my party and to all Nigerians. It represents the worst form of crude irresponsibility in the conduct of elections since the end of the Cold War. It is fictitious, frivolous and unacceptable to our party and the overwhelming good people of Nigeria that voted for our party.
“A country, where the majority of Nigerians are not and cannot be seen rejoicing at the outcome of this election, yet someone is claiming victory is outrageous.
“Notwithstanding that our party endorsed the candidacy of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the result so far published is a pointer that had INEC properly and accurately released the election results as expressed by the Nigerian voters, the outcome would have been far better as our party officers and agents worked very hard at the grassroots to deliver.
“We, therefore, call on INEC to release the results as obtained in the 120,000 polling units throughout the country or allow itself to be audited by independent auditors. Meanwhile, we are joining our coalition partners in filling a suit against this most fraudulent result in the history of Nigeria.”
