The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has commended the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose for showing support for their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
The Ekiti state Governor was seen in court with the IPOB leader during his bail hearing in Abuja.
The spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, who said Fayose is a honorary Biafran, was full of praises for Governor.
He said “We also acknowledge the immense contributions of Femi Fani-Kayode and the honorary Biafran, Governor Ayodele Fayose, who did what no South-East or South-South governor had the courage to do.”
Powerful also said it takes courage for a prominent figure like Governor Fayose to openly identify with Kanu.
IPOB also released a statement thanking other prominent Nigerians for their show of solidarity.
The group said “Of worthy mention are the likes of Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Senator Enyinaya Abaribe, Prof Nwala of Ala-Igbo Foundation, Mr Osita Chidoka, Tochukwu Uchendu, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, Prof Pat Utomi, Eastern Consultative Assembly, Igbo Women Assembly, Igbo Youth Movement, and the Uchenna Madu-led MASSOB.”
Meanwhile, Nnamdi Kanu’s wife, Uchechi Kanu has said that her husband will never abandon the Biafra struggle.
