Unai Emery has said he informed benchwarmers including Lucas Moura of their situation during preseason.
“When preseason got under way, I spoke with the players about their individual situations,” Emery told his prematch news conference ahead of Wednesday’s game against Troyes.
“This summer, we bought some new players to give the team more and it is now harder to play regularly with this sort of competition.
“Every single player knew their situation right from the off. Everybody in the squad has had a chance to play.
However, it is difficult now because competition for places is greater than it has ever been.”
Argentina internationals Javier Pastore and Angel Di Maria have also been linked with moves, with the former saying he was considering his future.
Emery said: “It is normal that there are a lot of rumours flying around about PSG players. These are all big, important names.
“However, for me, the most important thing is to focus on the next match, so Troyes and then Strasbourg on Saturday.
This is a very important month.”
Right-back Thomas Meunier, pushed down the pecking order by the summer arrival of Dani Alves, is reportedly interesting Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Valencia and Manchester United.
But Emery stressed: “He is important to us. He is playing less than he did last campaign, but he is doing well when he gets his chances. We need two players in each position.
“Dani is performing very well, but we are also very happy with Thomas. It is true that Thomas is suffering because of Dani’s performances, but I have spoken with him and told him to be patient.
“I told him that he will be able to develop because of Dani but that he is also very important to us and that we are very happy with him.”
