Buhari-kaduna-blastA four-man investigative panel set up by the Inspector General of Police to unravel the masterminds of the twin bomb blasts targeting former head of state, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and Islamic cleric, Sheik Dahiru Bauchi, arrived Kaduna Saturday.

The team, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Legal Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja, Nwadibo Ekechukwu, earlier visited the scenes of the blast before meeting with the former Nigerian leader at his residence behind closed doors.

Mr. Ekechukwu later appealed to the public to assist the team with useful information and appealed for caution.

The twin bomb explosions on Wednesday, killed over 40 people and injured 37 others.

The two bombs which exploded at different times, were apparently targeted at Buhari and Bauchi.

The two men, however, escaped unhurt.
