This has undeniably been an amazing year for Kendrick Lamar. Since dropping his third studio album, DAMN., the Compton emcee has gone on to produce a handful of riveting visuals, gone platinum twice, and achieved his first No. 1 single with “HUMBLE.”
And now it appears as though K. Dot has earned yet another accolade for the dope track.
According to a new report, “HUMBLE” is the first rap song this year to break one million pure sales sans streaming. The Mike WiLL Made-It production is also Kendrick’s highest-charting single of his career as a lead artist ā”Swimming Pools” peaked at No. 17.
Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” has now sold over 1 million pure copies in the US.
The lead single is also the highest-debuting rap song on the Hot 100 since Eminem’s “Not Afraid” debuted at No. 1 in 2010.
Shout-out to K.Dot. The left stroke been viral!
