A 24-hour curfew has been imposed on Oro-Ago community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Council, Abdul Rasheed Femi Yusuf, announced the development in a statement on Tuesday, saying the curfew takes effect from 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
According to him, the measure is part of a coordinated security effort aimed at dislodging terrorists and safeguarding lives and property in the area.

Yusuf said that during the period of the curfew, there will be no human or vehicular movement within the entire community.
“This action is in support of the ongoing security clearance operation being carried out by the military in the area,” he said.
He added that the situation would be reviewed periodically and that further directives would be communicated to residents as necessary.
