Men of the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday arrested a man in possession of human skull.
The suspect, Mustapha Bakare (38) was arrested at the Orile area by policemen attached to the force anti-robbery squad.
Confirming the arrest of the suspect, the state Police spokesperson, Ngozi Braid, said the police team arrested Bakare during a “stop and search” operation near white sand area of Orile.
Braid said: “While the team was on duty at White sand area of Orile, a man of about38-year-old, later known as Mustapha Bakare of 63B Church Street, Ijora Badia was sighted with a polythene bag. The team suspected him and immediately called for a search. He immediately took to his heels and was pursued.
“He was arrested and during search of his bag, a fresh human skull was found. The suspect was arrested and currently undergoing interrogation. He’ll be transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) Panti, for further investigations”, DSP Braid said.
