Manchester City can keep Erling Haaland and Rodri away from Real Madrid, Richard Dunne has said. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even if every player seemingly wants to play for Real Madrid because of their lure of history, Manchester City can convince Haaland and Rodri to stay put with their impressive sporting project.
Richard added that working with Pep Guardiola to develop their careers is another reason to not move.
His words, “It’s a huge club and everyone seemingly wants to play for them. They have got the lure of the history of what they’ve done, what they have achieved, they have got an unbelievable squad of players, and I’m sure it’s a great place to live. It is a real draw for all the top players in the world. Not just Manchester City, every club in the Premier League is hoping that they are successful enough, that players are looked after well enough, that they will stay.
The sporting challenge at Man City is the same as at Real Madrid – they want to win the Premier League, they want to win the Champions League, they want to win World Cups in the summer, all that stuff is the same. You just hope that Rodri and Haaland and any other big players have found a place that they realise they are in the top form of their lives and it can change when you move. They need to realise that they are working with Pep [Guardiola], someone who can develop their game and make them better, and hopefully that is enough to keep them at the club for a long time.”
WOW.
