The Managing Director of ‘May and Baker Plc’, Mr Nnamdi Okafor, is reportedly retiring by the end of this year. The outgoing Managing Director who assumed the position in 2011 will be retiring by the end of this year.

May and Baker Plc which is a pharmaceutical company has reportedly informed the Nigerian Stock Exchange and Securities Exchange Commission of the impending retirement of Mr Nnamdi Okafor by the end of this business year and will be succeeded by Mr Patrick Ajah who is presently the Executive Director.
Mr Okafor Ajah has ever since he assumed the position of the Executive Director in the company looked into business transactions in the company. He has also ensured flexible turnaround in the out flow of cash in the company.
Okafor’ has made landmark achievements in the company which includes making business plans which made the company eligible for the World Health Organization’s 2014 certification of global standards in manufacturing practices for it’s PharmaCentre in Ogun State.
May & Baker Plc has won several contracts which includes the domestic manufacturing contract granted the company by French pharmaceutical giant, Sanofi.
Mr Okafor Ajah’ service to the company has made the company to compete among the top pharmaceutical company in Nigeria.
Presently the company in conjunction with National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development is teaming to produce anti-sickle cell drug.
