Scott McTominay can play as a striker for Manchester United, Sofyan Amrabat has said. This is coming after his match-winning double against Chelsea, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, McTominay has continuously proven that he is an important member of the team, and he proved it once more with his fantastic performance in front of goal against Chelsea.
Amrabat added that despite having strikers like Hojlund and Martial at the club, Scott has shown he can score crucial goals too.
His words, “Maybe he will have to change jobs and play as a striker. We [obviously] have fantastic strikers like Rasmus [Hojlund], Antony, [Anthony] Martial. It is clear that Scott is very important as he scored two goals. What else do I have to say, he was fantastic!”
Sofyan Amrabat is a professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Premier League club Manchester United, on loan from Serie A club Fiorentina. Born in the Netherlands, he plays for the Morocco national team.
Amrabat joined Utrecht’s youth system in 2007 from HSV De Zuidvogels. He made his first-team debut for Utrecht against Vitesse on 2 November 2014.
Amrabat joined Manchester United on loan from Fiorentina on 1 September 2023, on a deadline day until the end of the 2023–24 season. Manchester United paid Fiorentina a loan fee of £8.5 million, with the deal containing an option to buy for £21.4 million.
Amrabat was born in Huizen in the Netherlands, to parents of Moroccan descent. He is the younger brother of former Morocco international Nordin Amrabat.
