    Mohammed Bindow Declares State Of Emergency In Health

    anambra state mapGov. Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa on Monday declared a state of emergency to rejig the state’s healthcare delivery.

    Bindow said this at the flag-off of the renovation of General Hospital Numan as part of the implementation of the policy in the health sector.

    He said during the ground breaking ceremony that the renovation was to boost medical care for the people of the state.

    The governor also said that the gesture was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to the people during the last electioneering campaign.

    He promised to enhance health service delivery in the state through the provision of modern medical facilities for the people.

    Bindow, who did not mention the name of the contractor, said that the contract was expected to be completed within six months.

    According to him, “I will be coming here to inaugurate this hospital in December during Christmas.’’
    Rev. Arnold Jibila, the Chairman of Numan Local government Council, commended the governor for the initiative.

    He recalled that the people of the area had suffered lack of basic health facilities in the past, adding that a lot of people died due to lack of medical care.

    The chairman pledged his people’s continued support to the governor to redeem all his political promises.

    NAN recalls that the state executive council had approved N162 million for the construction of a modern maternity complex, construction of doctor’s quarters and the provision of water within the facility.
