President Muhammadu Buhari has emerged victorious in the Presidential election in Lagos State, by beating his main opposition, Atiku Abubakar with a resoundubg 132,798 vote margin.
The wide margin was lesser than the 160,143 votes with which Buhari defeated GEJ 4 years ago in the megapolis. Buhari got 792,460 then while Jonathan received 632,327.
Today’s results, as announced by INEC, showed that Buhari got 580,814 votes and Atiku, 448,016 votes in a tightly contested election.
Buhari secured 15 LGAs, while his opponent won in just 5.
