President Muhammadu Buhari has fired Abdulrasheed Maina from service and ordered a full investigation into the circumstances of his recall.
This was revealed by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on his Twitter page (@FemAdesina) on Monday, October 23, 2017.
“PMB orders immediate disengagement of Mr Abdulrasheed Maina from service. Asks for full report on circumstances of his recall,” he posted.
President Buhari also ordered the Head of Service, Mrs Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita, to submit a full report of the recall and posting to the office of the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, before the close of work on Monday.
The wanted ex-chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms was recently controversially recalled and promoted to head the Ministry of Interior’s human resource department.
