Candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State have cleared all the Senatorial and House of Representatives seats in the just concluded National Assembly polls.
The polls were held throughout the country on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
While other political parties vied for the seats, the contest was seen to be majorly between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the PDP.
InfoStride News reports that in the Senatorial race, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi of the PDP defeated his opponent, Ajibola Famurewa of the APC who was contesting for the first time in the Osun East Senatorial District.
In the senatorial elections in Osun Central, Olubiyi Fadeyi of the PDP polled 134, 229 votes to defeat Ajibola Bashiru of the APC who polled 117, 609 votes.
In Osun East, Famurewa Israel Ajibola of the APC was defeated by Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi by 127,877 votes to 95,670.
Raheem Amidu Tadese of the APC polled 104459 votes which was lesser than that of Olalere Kamorudeen Oyewumi of the PDP who polled 138476 votes.
For the House of Representatives election, Taofeek Abimbola Ajilesoro, has been declared winner of the election for Ife federal constituency (Ife Central/Ife North/Ife East/Ife South).
He scored 53,078 votes to defeat his main opponent, Kayode Benjamin Adereti of the APC who polled 51,051 votes.
For Ijesa North (Obokun/Oriade) federal constituency, Oluwole Oke of PDP polled 31,907 as against Odofin Oluseun of APC who polled 18,412 votes.
Bamidele Salam PDP polled 64,236 votes to defeat Akeem Atanda Bello of the APC who polled 35,444 for Ede North/Ede South, Egbedore/Ejigbo federal constituency.
In Ayedaade, Irewole, Isokan federal constituency, Lanre Omoleye of PDP defeated the incumbent Oluga Taiwo Olukemi of APC by scoring 39124 votes as against 37832.
Ijesa South (Ilesa East/Ilesa West/Atakunmosa East/Atakunmosa West), Olusanya Omirin of PDP polled 41437 to defeat Ayeni Lawrence Babatunde of the APC.
For Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu federal constituency, Adewale Moruf of the PDP polled 71,677 votes to defeat Bosede Ogo-Oluwa of the APC who secured 58,992 votes.
Ayedire, Iwo, Ola-Oluwa federal constituency
Lukman Alabi of the PDP had 35678 votes as against 31255 votes of Amobi Yinusa of the APC.
Akanni Clement of the PDP polled 26242 to defeat Adebisi Obawale Simeon of the APC who got 16725 votes for Boluwaduro, Ifedayo, Ila federal constituency.
In Odo-Otin, Boripe, Ifelodun federal constituency, Adetunji Abidemi Olusoji of the PDP got 41389 votes to defeat Moshood Adekunle of the APC who scored 35911 votes.
