The 22nd edition of the National Council on Water Resources (NCWR) meeting is scheduled to hold at the National Water Resources Institute, Kaduna, Kaduna State, from Monday 9th to Friday, 13th December, 2013. Stakeholders in the water sector will converge and discuss issues related to water management in the country.
The technical session of the meeting which is expected to begin on Monday, 9th December, 2013 will be chaired by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Alh Baba Umar Faruk. The meeting proper would take place between Thursday, 12th to Friday, 13th December, 2013 and will be chaired by the Hon. Minister of Water Resources, Mrs. Sarah Reng Ochekpe.
All States’ Commissioners of Water Resources, Permanent Secretaries and their desk officers from the 36 States and FCT are expected to attend the meeting.
The theme of this year’s meeting is: “Cooperation and Partnership Building toward Sustainable Water Resources Development in Nigeria”.
The Governor of Kaduna State, Alh. Muktar Ramalan Yero is expected to grace the occasion.
