Former Akwa Ibom State Governor and current Senate majority leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has expressed his appreciation to Nigerians for their show of concern following his involvement in a motor accident last week.The senator, who was rushed to the National Hospital in Abuja, was later flown abroad for further treatment.
In a couple of tweets on Saturday, where he shared a photo from his hospital bed in an undisclosed hospital, Akpabio specifically thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his concern.
“Thank you Nigerians for your prayers. Appreciate President Buhari, VP Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Bukola Saraki and others for their calls”, he tweeted. “I also thank former President Goodluck Jonathan, members of our party, friends and loved ones for their calls and show of affection. God bless you”.
