The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the upgrade of its electronic auction (e-auction) platform as part of its ongoing efforts to improve service delivery.
This upgrade is aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in the auction processes of the service.
Abdullahi Maiwada, the National Public Relations Officer of the NCS, made this announcement in a statement released on Friday in Abuja.

The upgrade follows the earlier disclosure by Comptroller of Customs Adewale Adeniyi on January 10, 2024, regarding the service’s plans to revamp the platform.
According to Adeniyi, the revamped platform is designed to strengthen the NCS’s operations, safeguard against cyber threats, and ensure seamless service delivery.
In the statement, Maiwada highlighted the NCS’s commitment to continuous improvement and its adherence to the guidelines outlined in the newly enacted Nigeria Customs Service Act, 2023.
He emphasized that the upgrade aligns with the agency’s dedication to efficiency and fairness in its operations.
The revamped e-auction platform, accessible at auction.nigeriatradehub.gov.ng, represents an upgraded version of the previous portal.
It is tailored to provide all Nigerians with equal opportunities to participate in the auction processes, reflecting the NCS’s commitment to transparency and inclusivity.
