Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said that Nigeria is too beautiful a country to break up.
Mohammed also said that all Nigerians have a role to play in the country’s growth.
The minister made the comments on Tuesday, April 18, during a lecture at the Lagos State University.
“Everyone has a role to play in the unity of the country,” Mohammed, who was represented by the Director of Research and Innovations at the National Universities Commission (NUC), Dr Rahman Yusuf said.
“As people’s predictions that Nigeria will disintegrate did not come to pass. We all have to endeavour that Nigeria despite being a developing nation attains greatness,” he added.
The lecture was titled “Can Nigeria survive another century as a corporate entity?”
Meanwhile, former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has said that Nigeria will break up if it’s not restructured.
