Nigeria will soon overcome the challenges it currently faces, Governor Babatunde Fashola Saturday said with optimism, while speaking to newsmen in Lagos after his Eid prayers.
“I am sure that all will be well and citizens must also want things to be well. If it is well within us, it will be well around us and it will be well with our nation,” he said.
The governor noted that the destiny of Nigeria lies in the hands of the people of the country. He therefore urged them to do the right things always.
Fashola wished Muslims in the country a happy Eid-el-Kabir, just as he urged them to renew their commitment to peace and development of the nation during this festive period.
“I wish all Muslims Eid Mubarak and all Nigerians, peace. But whatever we want for ourselves and the nation lies in our hands to achieve,” he said, adding that there were several reasons for why Nigerians should thank God despite some of the challenges in the country.
