Vice President Namadi Sambo won his polling unit for the Peoples Democratic Party, in the presidential and National Assembly elections, which held on Saturday nationwide.
Mr. Sambo voted at polling unit 11, Police College, Kabala Doki, Ward 5 in Kaduna North Local Government Area.
The Returning Officer, Olorufemi Raphael, while announcing the result at the end of voting, said PDP polled 105 votes, APC 20 votes, NCP 01, while APA got 01.
The vice president had been taunted in the past and dismissed as a political lightweight who could not win election in his own ward.
In the 2011 general elections, Mr. Sambo was defeated in his polling unit, ward and local government.
The Vice President had earlier, on the eve of Saturday’s election, relocated his polling unit from Link/Camp Road to swimming pool road by the Kaduna Police College fence.
As of the time of filing this report, the result of the wards and LGA were still being awaited.
Mr. Sambo’s ward and LGA are still being collated.
