    Nigeria’s Maritime Economy Should Be Improved – Dakuku Peterside

    Dr Dakuku PetersideThe Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dr Dakuku Peterside, has talked about the several opportunities that are available in Nigeria for economic transformation and development via efficient and proper exploitation of the marine economy.

    Dakuku who said this at the African Day of Oceans and Seas, weekend, in Lagos also hinted that the fact that nations like China and U.S.A have done well with ocean economy and they are presently seeing the reward.

    He said this move from China and the USA has improved their GDP and employment rates.

    He added that more than 90 percent of imports and exports in Africa were controlled by seas and oceans.
