The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested five suspects for pipeline vandalism, theft, and other criminal offences in Bauchi State.
The Commandant of the Corps in Bauchi, Oloyede Oyerinde, disclosed this on Saturday while parading the suspects before journalists.
According to Oyerinde, NSCDC operatives apprehended individuals involved in criminal misappropriation, rape, and theft at different locations across the state.

Among them, two suspects were arrested for motorcycle theft at a lodge in Magama Gumau, Toro Local Government Area.
He further revealed that on March 7, the Corps arrested one suspect for alleged pipeline vandalism and illegal extraction of kerosene in Alkaleri.
Similarly, on February 26, operatives detained a 38-year-old man (name withheld) for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl in the same area.
In another operation on March 4, NSCDC operatives apprehended a 22-year-old suspect for siphoning diesel from a 150KVA generator meant for powering streetlights in Bauchi metropolis.
Oyerinde assured that all suspects would be charged to court upon the completion of investigations.
He reiterated the Corps’ commitment to protecting critical infrastructure and urged residents to collaborate with security agencies to enhance public safety.
