The Bauchi State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested 10 suspects for various crimes committed during the yuletide period.
The State Commandant, Oloyede Oyerinde, disclosed this on Wednesday in Bauchi while parading the suspects.
According to Oyerinde, the suspects were arrested for crimes including vandalism, rape, and theft. Seven suspects were apprehended on December 24 at Zaranda village in Toro Local Government Area for vandalizing an old NITEL tower.

Items recovered from the suspects include six oxyacetylene gas cylinders, perimeter fencing wire mesh, and parts of the vandalized tower.
Additionally, two suspects were arrested on December 31 at a filling station in the Turum area of Bauchi metropolis for allegedly stealing two drums.
In a separate incident, the command arrested a suspect on December 27 for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in an uncompleted building in Misau Local Government Area.
Commandant Oyerinde commended his personnel for their dedication to protecting public infrastructure and warned criminals to desist from illegal activities or face the full wrath of the law.
He also called on the public to provide the corps with vital information to aid in combating vandalism and other crimes across the state.
