    Ogun NLC Happy over Amosun’s Re-election

    ibikunle amosunThe Ogun State chapter of Nigeria Labour Congress, on Tuesday expressed happiness with the re-election of the State Governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, for a second term.

    The Congress Chairman, Akeem Ambali, made this known at the hall of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners in Abeokuta, the State capital, where he held a campaign rally for his own second term bid.

    The NLC boss said with the re-election of Mr. Amosun, workers should be prepared to enjoy great benefits even as he expressed optimism that union’s projects would get adequate attention from the governor in his second term administration.

    “We are happy that the governor won election. We are fulfilled and we know it is going to be an added advantage for workers. I am also optimistic that the governor will extend his hands of fellowship to us, particularly in regards number of outstanding projects”, Mr. Ambali said.

    Campaigning for his re-election, Mr. Ambali said if returned, he would introduce “transportation business” for revenue generation.

    In response, the Chairman of the Ogun Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Olujimi Odukoya, declared the union’s support for Mr. Ambali’s second term ambition.

    He said Mr. Ambali’s last tenure, which lasted four years, witnessed some achievements.
